TL;DR

Ichiru confronts Zero, revealing his bitterness and resentment, claiming that Zero doesn’t understand his struggles and admitting his hatred for him. He offers Zero the chance to join him and Shizuka as her servant in exchange for his life. Yagari arrives but is attacked by Ichiru, leading to Ichiru fleeing and Yagari getting wounded. Zero takes him to Cross for treatment before finding Yuki and drinking her blood. Yuki recalls Maria's offer to save Zero in exchange for Kaname’s life or her own. At the ball, Yuki confronts Kaname about erasing her memory, with Kaname defending his actions. Meanwhile, Aido and Akatsuki question the new transfer student and later discover Shizuka Hio's frozen body. Seiren warns them not to investigate further, and Akatsuki realizes Kaname likely has a plan in motion.

Ichiru confronts Zero, revealing his resentment and bitterness, stating that Zero doesn’t understand the constant comparisons and pity he’s endured. He admits that he no longer cares about their parents and has always hated Zero. Ichiru confesses that Shizuka cured his illness and offers Zero a chance to join them, becoming Shizuka’s servant in exchange for sparing his life. Yagari arrives just in time, expressing his view of Ichiru as his former pupil, but Ichiru, unwilling to listen, attempts to attack him. Zero intervenes, and in the struggle, the sword is knocked out of Ichiru’s hand, causing him to fall, but Yagari manages to stop the falling blade, suffering a wound in the process. Ichiru flees, and Zero takes Yagari to Cross for treatment. Yagari tells Cross about meeting Ichiru while Zero goes to find Yuki. He finds her preparing decorations for the upcoming ball and drinks her blood, with Yuki recalling Maria’s offer to save Zero in exchange for either Kaname’s life or her own. Cross orders Zero to stay on strict guard duty during the ball, and Yori gives Yuki a gift from Kaname—a beautiful dress for the occasion. At the ball, Zero is struck by Yuki’s ability to smile despite the circumstances, and she shares that she smiles because she wants him to. Yuki has a moment with Kaname on the terrace, where she confronts him about erasing her memory and asks how long he plans to treat her like a child. Kaname defends his actions, saying it was to protect her, not because he sees her as one. Meanwhile, Aido questions Akatsuki about the new transfer student, and they both head outside. Yuki remembers Maria’s trade and words about Kaname letting his guard down only around her and apologizes before running off to see Maria. At the ball, Zero is approached by Shindo, the girl he saved previously, asking him to dance, but he rejects her. He asks Kaname about Yuki, but Kaname reminds him that Zero is Yuki’s protector. Meanwhile, Aido and Akatsuki discover Shizuka Hio’s frozen body in a cellar, with Akatsuki speculating that Shizuka discarded her original body for a purpose. Seiren appears and warns them not to go further, but gives no explanation, leaving Akatsuki to deduce that Kaname must have a plan in motion.
